Wind Drift,
The wind whistled and thundered around the house unprotected from the furry from the great lake. Beneath the chestnut trees it carved the drift in it’s image.
This full sheet painting is one of the most challenging and excited paintings I’ve ever done. I used all my learning to achieve it, and learned so much more when I achieved it.

Lost Peoples, 4″x 6″, en plein air, sketch of the Statue in Punta Arenas, Chile I was drawn to the poignant face of the indigenous man on Magellan’s statue. Some of these peoples were annihilated when Europeans came to Patagonia, either by conflict or disease.
Edge Encounter, Mountain goats encountered on a precipitous trail in Montana. The nannies and kids owned the shadowed shelves immediately above the trail.
Creek by Our Winter Camp
We set off in the deep snow and deep cold for winter camping. It was a marvellous experience with many treasured experiences. This creek was near our campsite. I painted sketches using 1/2 vodka in my water because it was about -8ºC.
