“Iris”, 18″x24″, watercolour, 2018, There are seasons in our years, and not much painting gets done when the gardens need tending.

Emerging, 14″x 20″, watercolour, 2019. This painting is a part of a series, partly complete of the life of Monarch Butterflies. In the summer and fall of 2018, I created and nurtured a small monarch conservatory, from egg to caterpillar to emerged butterfly. What an honour it is to watch nature unfold its’ wings. In 2019, I chose to plant plants outside to encourage the successful breeding of monarchs.
